SEM Clear Coat

FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS:  It is imperative that you read all product labels and instructions before using this product.  Failure to follow instructions provided on the product can lead to serious injury as well as damage to the product to which it is applied.  PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

TEST FIRST:  It is important that you test this product on a small, unexposed area of the surface to which you wish to apply it, before applying this to the entire surface.  This will ensure best results and will help prevent unintended consequences.

Application Notes:

Hold can approximately 6-8" from the surface to be coated. Allow 5-10 minutes between coats.

The substrate should not be subjected to heavy abuse or abrasion for 24 hours.

Note: When coating Vinyl with Color Coat Clear, plasticizer migration may occasionally occur. When Vinyl manufacturers use a high amount of plasticizers, they may bleed and leave a tacky feeling on the coated surface. Apply Tac Free (SEM 39643) over the affected area to eliminate this problem.

*For added protection of SEM Color Coat, SEM Classic Coat, or SEM Marine Coat or for change of sheen, apply one of Sem's clear coats. SEM Low Luster clear “Low Sheen” (SEM 13023), SEM Satin Gloss clear “Medium Sheen” (SEM 13013) or SEM High Gloss clear “Wet Look” (SEM 13003).

*If clogging develops, remove spray button with a twisting motion and clean with material compliant with VOC regulations in your area (Example. Brake or Gun cleaner). Do not stick pin or another object into can. Gently replace spray button with top of can and spray button pointed away from you.

*After each use, turn can upside down and spray several seconds to clear spray tip.

Storage:

Color Coat Clear should be stored in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation away from heat, sparks and flames. The shelf life for Color Coat Clear aerosols is 5 years when stored under normal conditions.
